The foliage is large, leathery, and glossy, with a deep green color that gives a lush, tropical appearance. The leaves can grow up to 2 feet long, forming a rosette pattern that resembles a bird’s nest. This plant is an epiphyte, meaning it naturally grows on other surfaces like tree trunks in its native habitat but can also thrive in containers.

    • Place the Anthurium plowmanii in bright to medium indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so ensure the plant is shielded from direct rays. This plant prefers warm temperatures ranging from 65°F to 75°F. It should be protected from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
    • Water the plant when the top 3/4 of the soil has dried out. It's crucial to fully and evenly saturate the soil during each watering session but allow it to dry out before watering again to prevent root rot.
