The "Ruby Red" grapefruit, a type of Citrus paradisi, produces reddish-yellow fruits with red seedless flesh inside. It is also called "Redblush" or simply "Ruby" grapefruit. This tree grows quickly and can reach a height and width of 20 to 25 feet when planted in soil that is well-drained and loamy to sandy in texture. Similar to other grapefruit types, the "Ruby Red" is vulnerable to frost, and its fruit can be harmed when temperatures fall below 29 degrees Fahrenheit. Therefore, it is suggested to cultivate this grapefruit variety in full sun within plant hardiness zones 9 through 10 of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. During the first year, it is important to water the "Ruby Red" grapefruit regularly, providing 3 to 6 inches of water every three to seven days or as required when the soil dries out a few inches below the surface. In the first year, it's recommended to water directly under the tree's trunk to keep the root ball moist. Once the tree has developed deep roots after the first year, watering should be reduced to every seven to 14 days, and water should be applied farther out from the trunk so that moisture reaches the wider roots. In the recommended growing zones, this citrus tree requires very little maintenance. It is resistant to pests and diseases and can tolerate drought conditions. In case the suitable climate is not available to cultivate this tropical tree outdoors, it is possible to plant it in a container that can be relocated to a sheltered location when the temperature drops below the required limit. It can be pruned easily and can be maintained at a manageable size.

    Testimonials

    "Came in perfect condition--thank you!"

    Natalie

"Amazing Plants! I was so happy to see these way larger than the plants pictured because I know how slow most cycads grow."

    Matthew

"This is the first time I've ever ordered plants online, so I had no idea what to expect. When I saw the description of 'comes in a 4" growers' pot' I figured I'd be getting some fairly small plants--nope! The bamboo palms were fully 2' tall from root to top leaf, and perfectly healthy. All 5 plants were VERY well secured in their box, to the point that the bottom layer was even spray-foamed to the cardboard! I couldn't ask for a better experience and I'm so excited to see these plants grow. Five stars!"

    Nathaniel

"Thrilled with my purchase! This seller went above any beyond! The packaging was very careful, the plants are so much bigger than I expected, and I was given more than what was depicted in the item description. 10/10 all round!"

    Trisha

"This is SO BEAUTIFUL! Packaging was perfect and efficient, plant was in excellent condition. I'm in love with this plant and I will definitely order more."
