These plants are adapted to arid environments and need well-drained soil to prevent root rot and other moisture-related issues. Our blend includes Coarse Perlite, which ensures superior drainage and aeration, allowing roots to breathe and grow without being waterlogged.
- Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect sunlight for the Lifesaver Cactus. It thrives in filtered light but can tolerate some morning or late afternoon direct sun. Avoid harsh midday sunlight, which can scorch its delicate stems.
- Water Requirements: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. During the winter months, reduce watering to once every 4-6 weeks as the plant enters dormancy.
- Unique Appearance: The LifeSaver Cactus features eye-catching star-shaped flowers with a glossy red center that resembles a candy ring, surrounded by light yellow petals with burgundy zebra-like patterns. Its angular, ridged stems provide an attractive, modern aesthetic even when not in bloom.
