Our blend includes Coarse Perlite, which ensures superior drainage and aeration, allowing roots to breathe and grow without being waterlogged.
- Physical Characteristics: The Zanzibar Aloe features rosettes of narrow, pointed, fleshy leaves with distinctive white spots on its surface. Its spiky leaves are clustered together, creating a unique, visually interesting look that is both modern and rustic. This compact plant’s aesthetic appeal makes it a striking addition to any collection.
- Sunlight Needs: Zanzibar Aloe thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate direct sunlight, though some shading is recommended during the hottest parts of the day to prevent sunburn. For optimal growth, place it near a sunny window or in a well-lit room.
- Watering: This plant has low water requirements. Water it deeply when the soil has dried out completely. In the warmer months, this typically means watering once every two weeks. In the colder months, reduce watering to once a month to prevent overwatering.
- Temperature Tolerance: This succulent prefers warm temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C to 29°C). It can tolerate temperatures as low as 50°F (10°C) but should be protected from frost and extreme cold to avoid damage to the plant.
